The Dogear, published by Hapi Studios, is a static website that aims to collect as little as possible.

Analytics — We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to understand traffic (page views, referrers). We do not build advertising profiles or sell data.

Accounts — The Dogear does not currently offer accounts and does not ask you to provide personal information to browse.

Affiliate links — When you click a book link, the destination retailer (e.g. Bookshop.org) may set cookies to attribute a purchase. Their use of your data is governed by their own privacy policies.

Cookies — The site itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies.

Third parties — Map tiles are served by MapTiler; book metadata and cover images come from Open Library and Wikidata.

Changes — We may update this policy; material changes will be noted here.
